Jasmine Arellano Montreuil
My name is Jasmine Arellano Montreuil and I’m a children’s author from Stouffville, Ontario, Canada. In my day job, I work as a Registered Dietitian and use an anti-diet, weight inclusive approach to nutrition and improving our relationship with food. I’m also a full-time driver, provider of snacks, and professional listener of Pokemon facts to my two young kids, who are the inspiration for my books.
About my work
My first book, Riley the Raccoon Goes to the Philippines, teaches about the Filipinx tradition of pasalubong, as well as Tagalog words and phrases. I’m committed to teaching the next generation about Filipinx culture, food and language, while I explore my own special connection to the Philippines. There are more books to come - stay tuned!
