Kenneth Cardenas
I am from the subdivided, segregated north of a former high-modern planned capital. I grew up seeing the hope of people power fade to disappointment. As the residue of a failed revolution, it is a miracle that I have not turned fascist. I write to understand and to share this miracle.
Presently I am working on a geography of class power and urbanization in the Philippines of the early 21st century. I also hope to join, maintain, or open spaces for political imagination, across the archipelago of dispossessed peoples and places.
